Gaggan
About This Experience
Gaggan Anand opened his original Bangkok restaurant in 2010 and turned it into the most awarded Indian fine-dining establishment in Asia before closing it in 2019. The current Gaggan, around the corner from the original, is a 14-seat L-shaped counter where up to twenty-five inventive courses unfold across five theatrical acts.
Lights shift, the soundtrack pulses, and dishes arrive as edible jokes, provocations and homages — a signature 'Lick It Up' plate, fermentation experiments, and increasingly serious technique under the showmanship. The format is closer to a concert set list than a meal: a tightly rehearsed performance with the chef working the room.
At 14 seats Gaggan fills months in advance; pricing is at the very top of the Bangkok market and reservations are usually paid up front. One MICHELIN star.
