AKKEE Thai Delicacies & Tasting Counter
About This Experience
AKKEE may be the most unusual one-star kitchen in the wider Bangkok region. Chef Sittikorn Chantop and his sommelier brother Sivakorn ban modern electrical kitchen equipment from the cookline by design — every dish is cooked over fire and finished by hand, using recipes pulled from a personal collection of antique Thai cookery books.
The tasting counter focuses on Eastern-coast seafood (the menu is unsuitable for guests with seafood allergies or vegan/vegetarian needs) and is paired with a deep low-intervention, biodynamic and organic wine list, plus the famous AKKEE draught-beer flights.
The room is in Nonthaburi, just north of central Bangkok. One MICHELIN star.
Why It's Special
An anti-modernist Thai kitchen — no induction, no immersion circulators, no shortcuts — running an antique-cookbook menu nobody else is doing.
