Raan Jay Fai
About This Experience
Supinya 'Jay Fai' Junsuta has been cooking at the same Maha Chai Road shopfront for decades. Bangkok-locals queue for her wok-fried seafood; the tourist queue forms for her now-iconic crab omelette, a hand-shaped pillow of egg fully stuffed with sweet blue-crab meat. She wears ski goggles to protect her eyes from wok heat, and at 70-plus still personally cooks every dish.
The MICHELIN star she received in 2018 made Jay Fai the first street-food vendor in the world to hold one. She kept the star through every guide cycle since, including 2026. Bookings are notoriously hard, and the original walk-in queues stretch around the block.
The Chope reservation page below is the only official online booking channel — limited slots release at intervals. One MICHELIN star.
