Nahm
About This Experience
Nahm is one of the most historically important Thai restaurants of the modern era. Founded by Australian chef David Thompson, it was the first Thai restaurant in the world to earn a Michelin star (in its London incarnation in 2002), and the Bangkok branch has held a star nearly every year since opening.
The menu pulls from old palace and regional manuscripts: relishes with elaborate garnishes, bone-in southern curries, ceremonial rice, rare Thai desserts. Nothing is dumbed down for international palates and the chilli register can be punishing in the best way.
Under Chef Pim Techamuanvivit (and now her successors) Nahm has become a beloved institution, set inside the COMO Metropolitan with a small pool-side terrace.
Why It's Special
The first Thai restaurant in the world to win a Michelin star, still serving rigorous old-palace recipes most younger chefs have never even heard of.
